Welcome to gisellechanel.com (the “Site”), operated by Kemp Ventures, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By using the Site, including GC Club, Style Studio, and GC Academy, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site. Our Privacy Policy and Children’s Privacy Notice are part of these Terms.

1. Who may use the Site

The Site is for families. Adults (18+) may use the Site on their own. Children may use GC Club, Style Studio, and GC Academy only with a parent or legal guardian’s permission and supervision. By letting a child use the Site, the parent agrees to these Terms on the child’s behalf and is responsible for the child’s use. Our forms, such as the launch list and contact form, are for adults only.

2. GC Academy family accounts

• Only a parent or legal guardian age 18 or older may create a GC Academy account and add child profiles.
• Child profiles must use a nickname, not the child’s full real name, and must not include contact details, school, age, or location.
• Keep your password and parent PIN private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete a child profile or your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put children at risk.
• “On This Device” mode stores progress only in your browser. If browser data is cleared or the device is lost, that progress can’t be recovered.

3. Safety rules for everyone

You agree not to:

• share anyone’s personal information through the Site;
• try to identify, locate, contact, or meet the children who appear in our content;
• impersonate Giselle Chanel, our family, or anyone else, or create accounts that pretend to be us;
• hack, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or get around security or parent controls on the Site;
• use bots or automated tools to collect content or earn rewards; or
• use the Site for anything illegal, harmful, or inappropriate for children.

4. Educational content

• GC Academy is supplemental practice for families. It is not a school, a tutoring service, a diagnostic test, or a substitute for a teacher or a professional evaluation.
• We don’t promise any particular grade, test score, placement, or result.
• Skills are organized using the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), with optional Common Core references. GC Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) or any school district. STAAR® is a registered trademark of the Texas Education Agency.
• All practice questions and reading passages are original or in the public domain. They are not actual STAAR test items.
• We work to keep content accurate, but mistakes can happen. If you find one, tell us at info@gisellechanel.com.

5. Style Stars and family rewards

• Style Stars are earned for learning effort and progress. They have no cash value and can’t be bought, sold, traded, transferred, or exchanged for money.
• Stars unlock digital items in Style Studio. You get a limited license to use those items on the Site; you don’t own them.
• Family rewards, such as shop discounts, are offered to parents only and appear only in the Parent Area. Each has its own terms and expiration date. Limit one per household unless the reward says otherwise. Rewards are void where prohibited and can’t be combined with other offers unless stated.
• We may change, pause, or end Style Stars, items, or rewards at any time. Stars or items earned through cheating or automation may be removed.

6. Our content

The Giselle Chanel name, logos, characters, artwork, games, videos, photos, reading passages, practice questions, and website design are owned by Kemp Ventures, LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable license to view and use the Site. You may print GC Academy practice pages for your own family or classroom use. You may not copy, sell, republish, or create other products from our content without written permission.

7. Images of our children

The children who appear in our content are members of our family. They appear with parental permission and supervision. To protect them, you may not:

• download, screenshot for redistribution, repost, edit, or remix photos or videos of the children;
• use their images or voices in any AI tool, including to train AI or create deepfakes, filters, or avatars;
• use their images in ads, merchandise, or any commercial way; or
• share information about where they live, go to school, or spend time.

Sharing our official posts through a platform’s built-in share button is fine. We will report misuse to platforms and, when appropriate, to law enforcement. See our Family Safety page.

8. Other sites and our shop

The Site links to and plays content from other services, such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and our online store. We don’t control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Purchases are governed by the store’s checkout terms, shipping, and return policies.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the Site infringes your copyright, email info@gisellechanel.com with the subject “Copyright Notice.” Please include:

• your contact information;
• a description of the work and where it appears on the Site;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
• your signature.

We will respond to valid notices.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SAVED PROGRESS WILL NEVER BE LOST. Adults should supervise children’s screen time and online activity.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, KEMP VENTURES, LLC AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, FAMILY, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROGRESS, STARS, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SITE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some laws don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If you are an adult user and you break these Terms or misuse the Site, including misuse of images of our children, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including attorney’s fees, that result.

13. Disputes and Texas law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please contact us at info@gisellechanel.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Smith County, Texas, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.

14. Other terms

• Changes: we may update these Terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and continued use means you accept the update. We’ll give parents notice of material changes to GC Academy accounts.
• Termination: we may suspend or end access to the Site for anyone who breaks these Terms.
• Severability: if part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver: if we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
• Entire agreement: these Terms, with our Privacy Policy and Children’s Privacy Notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
